Healthy Kitchens, Healthy Kids is owned and operated by Chef Becky Riding.
Chef Becky is passionate about health and loves to cook. As a mom of five children, she knows the importance of eating healthy, AND getting the kids into the kitchen to share in the load. Today, all of her children are helpful in the kitchen during meal preparations, some even making full meals on their own.
Chef Becky also has a Bachelors in Elementary Education and loves to work with children. As a homeschool mom and educator, helping children learn is a life-long mission. Watching kids have an "a-ha" moment is her own moment of joy!
As a recent graduate of Institute for Integrative Nutrition, Chef Becky has come to understand how nutrition affects every facet of life, and how life affects every facet of health.
The philosophy behind Healthy Kitchens, Healthy Kids is that having kids in the kitchen is healthy and good for the whole family. Even if the food isn't the "healthiest," the family time and the fun make it healthy.
We all need two different kinds of food:
Primary food - good career/job, a strong spiritual life/practice, great relationships, and fun exercise.
Secondary food - diet, the foods you eat.
You can put the best foods in the world - only organic, whole, healthy foods - in your body, but if your Primary foods are off then you won't be truly healthy.
The goal of Healthy Kitchens, Healthy Kids is to build great relationships WHILE making fun food and striving to be truly healthy.
